TAKE THE FIRST STEP TO LIGHT YOUR PATH
At PLC Detroit, our admissions process is not the typical approach to bringing talented students to our programs. We challenge students from the start to show them what they are capable of. Our programs then foster students to see their potential and push them past it.

CERTIFICATE PROGRAMS
We work to provide an experience that challenges you from the start. Rather than showing us your personal portfolio, we ask applicants to create an original piece of work based on a brief provided. For more information on our application process, check out HOW IT WORKS.
Ready to apply?
Check out our Masterclass release calendar to stay up to date on when applications are open and classes begin.
Applications must be submitted within the application time window. Most applications for Masterclasses are open for 5 weeks. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
financial aid
At PLC Detroit, we believe in empowering the next generation; that is why we make education accessible to everyone, no matter their socioeconomic status.
Certificate programs (industry credentials) are fully funded by our brand partners, covering both tuition and housing. Students are responsible for their own dining expenses.
Degree Program tuition and fees including a full cost breakdown, can be found here.
PLC does not offer traditional financial aid services for certificate programs, as tuition for this specific programming is fully funded by our brand partners. Students are only responsible for dining and personal expenses.
PLC is a privately funded operation, introducing a new financial model for higher education, aligning with major CSR initiatives from top companies and organizations who’ve demonstrated a vested interest in stable, economic futures for Black communities.
